SAP training is available online from a variety of sources, including the official SAP electronic academy & many other third-party organizations. SAP certification, however, is available only from SAP itself, though certification may be available in a variety of areas & in two different levels of expertise.
SAP Overview
SAP is an acronym that stands for Systems, Applications & Products. As it is commonly referred to, SAP is a company that offers enterprise resource planning, a service centered around a computer application that helps customers manage their businesses. The SAP system is designed to integrate many different business planning applications & manage them in real time.
Online Training Options for SAP
Official SAP Training Options
Official SAP training comes in many different programs, including the SAP academy, solution training, certification training & the online academy. Included in these programs are a variety of options, ranging from courses designed to give students the tools for a particular topic or a particular application from the SAP suite, to a full online academy training course designed to give students the tools to handle any of the various SAP applications.
SAP's online programs are designed to allow students to work at their own pace, retaking lessons if necessary & completing the program only when they feel they are ready. Integral to the online learning process is voice chats with SAP experts to allow students to ask questions & get feedback on their work.
SAP Training Aids & Help Sites
Alternative SAP training sites offer a variety of services, from training programs designed to help students pass the official SAP certification examinations to practical sites devoted to training prospective SAP technicians in all of the aspects of SAP, from the basic to the complex.
These programs run the gamut of both presentation options & program focus, from email correspondence courses to full online web seminars with video & voice communication or downloadable lessons & media depending on which group offers the certification.
Online SAP Certification
Official certification in SAP is offered by SAP itself, in two levels. Associate & professional level certifications are available, with the associate level examination testing academic knowledge of SAP. The professional level exam tests both academic ability & professional implementation of SAP. SAP also offers a long list of different certification focuses, from applications to development in many different programs.
